Membership of Artists in Public Service (formerly Civil and Public Service Artists) is open to anyone aged over 18 (regardless of whether or not you are or have been a civil or public servant) and is currently £15 (cheques payable to AiPS).  Please complete and return this application form.

i.                    attendance at organised Spring Holidays (not including costs for accommodation);

ii.                  the chance to join the Executive Committee and be involved in the running of the club;

iii.                the opportunity to exhibit at the Annual Exhibition; and

EXHIBITION 2016 PRIVATE VIEW - TUESDAY 18 OCTOBER, 6.00PM

The President of the Artists in Public Service, Sir Jonathan Stephens KCB has great pleasure in inviting you to the private view of this year's Artist in Public Service Exhibition.

 

The private view and official opening of this year's exhibition will be held on Tuesday 18 October at 6pm.  The exhibition will be held in The Menier Gallery, 51 Southwark St, London SE1 1RU.  Light refreshments will be served.

 

The Exhibition will continue from 19 to 22 October 

It will be open every day from 10-6pm

Please note that the £12 membership fee previously stated in the old website, is not valid for 2014-15. Apologies for any confusion caused from this.

As mentioned in the latest Newsletter below, membership for the Artists in Public Service is currently worth £15.
Please note cheques should still be payable to the old name of Civil and Public Service Artists (CPSA).
Membership is open to all people (regardless of whether you are or have been a civil or public servant).

CHRISTMAS DINNER - CIVIL SERVICE CLUB THURSDAY 4TH DECEMBER, 7PM

Dear all

I will send out in the Newsletter, but early warning for you good people!

Christmas Dinner – 4 December

Two courses - £22.00.Three courses £26.00

Choose one starter + Main or a Main + dessert for 2 or all 3 for 3 courses





Starters

· Homemade cream of vegetable soup

· Potato, smoked bacon and red pepper soup

· Coquille St Jacques, scallops in creamy white wine sauce topped with mash potatoes, gruyere cheese, toasted breadcrumbs and parsley

· Wild boar pate, autumn fruit chutney and finedor baguette (No I don’t know what a “finedor” baguette is!)

· Chargrilled vegetable terrine and basil coulis, blue cheese, walnut, caramelised onion, cranberry, rocket leaf salads and house dressing



Main Course

· Traditional turkey served with chipolata stuffing and cranberry sauce

· Guinea Fowl supreme stuffed with pork, caramelised onion and ginger stuffing, with Drambuie sauce

· Slow cooked beef feather blade with stilton sauce and roasted chestnut crumble

· Yellow fin sole with smoked haddock and spinach with thermidor sauce

· Supreme of salmon in lime and coriander marinade, served with tomato, red pepper and ginger dressing

· Butternut squash with cannellini beans, mozzarella cheese, peppers and tomato with pumpkin and sunflower seed crumb

· Vegetarian turkey style roast with Wensleydale cheese, cranberry and orange

· Vegetable torte tatan, roasted winter vegetables in a cheddar, red onion and rosemary suet pastry with honey glaze and beetroot coulis



Desserts

· Christmas pudding with brandy sauce

· Banoffee pie with digestive biscuits, banana slices, sweet toffee sauce and fresh cream

· Opera slice layers of almond sponge with coffee cream and ganache finished with a chocolate glaze

· Strawberry shortcake bavarois, strawberry mousse on a shortcake base topped with a strawberry glaze

· White chocolate torte laced with rum, berries and honey syrup

· A selection of cheese and biscuits served with onion and chutney - £2 supplement.

CPSA change of name

How does AIPS sound to you? The new website gave us a rare opportunity to change our acronym to something more memorable. And the renamed Artists In Public Service grasped it in good time to promote our annual exhibition.
Please view the Aug. 5, 2014 news item for more information about participating in the upcoming AIPS Exhibition in October (form submission deadline is 1 Sept 2014).

AIPS 2014 Exhibition 20-25 October 2014

The CPSA 2014 Exhibition will be held in the Menier Gallery (www.meniergallery.co.uk/) from Monday 20 (submission and hanging and not open to the public) to Saturday 25 October 2014. The private view will be held on Tuesday 21st October 2014 at 5.30pm. This newsletter contains important information about how to submit your entries (not pictures until 20 October) for this year’s exhibition.
